On July 29 and 30th, a few members of our team were down in Grand Rapids, Michigan to attend the 17th annual Success Summit by Whizbang! Retail Training! We went as a proud sponsor of the event for our second year in a row and, as expected, had such a great time amongst this amazing community of independent retailers!

Whizbang! Retail Training is a robust educational service for independent retailers. Founded by Bob and Susan Negan from their own experiences in the retail industry, Whizbang has grown from a coaching and training service to an entire community of like-minded individuals all sharing the same journey of running a retail business. The Success Summit is the Whizbang! Retail Training yearly educational conference where this community gathers together for two full days of business boosting learning from industry experts (and even Bob and Susan themselves) that is guaranteed to propel your retail business forward! 

While retailers gained extremely valuable insights and knowledge to implement into their business models, our team also gained just as much value in being a sponsor. We had a chance to meet so many unique individuals and had the opportunity to learn about all the different retail businesses and their operations! As an individual retailer ourselves, we felt like we were truly part of this community and the way everyone seems to live by “collaboration over competition” was inspiring! 

Having the opportunity to meet new retailers face-to-face (and, of course, visiting with the ones we already know) was just one aspect of the event that we appreciated. We also got to connect with our fellow sponsors and retail allies in fighting the good fight (the success of our retail stores) – OneShop Retail, The Boutique Hub, Management One, Capital Commerce, Crystal Media and Max Retail. Being amongst such talented and knowledgeable retail partners is always a great experience for our team! At the end of the day, we all have one goal in mind – to assist retailers in the operations of their retail business in order to bring them success!

With that in mind, our sponsorship was much more than an opportunity for us to connect and build relationships with the community. Our very own CEO and retail coach – Dan Holman – contributed to the educational experience with his own insights and knowledge as one of the speakers at the conference! Dan’s passion for retail came to life throughout his presentation and being able to give back to the independent retail community through an educational experience was an absolute pleasure for our team!
