Do you have a Moneris integrated pin pad?
If your Moneris pin pad is plugged directly into your computer via USB or Serial, this change could affect you.
We have been notified that Moneris is requiring an update to the EFT part of your Retail Pro V8.6 system by June 30. The geek terminology is that they need an update to have “2048 bit SSL encryption”.
In non-geek, this is a good update and means that your credit card data is more secure. The other good news is that we have a tested solution for this and we can assist you in the process. You will need a new pin pad model and to schedule some time with our technicians.
What you need to do:
- Identify whether you have a USB or serial model.
- Contact your account manager at Moneris and ask for an Ingenico iPP320 pin pad. You can ask for a USB or serial model depending on the connection your computer has available.
- Contact us at techtime@retailbycrs.com once you know when your pin pad is coming and we can schedule a time to get the software installed.

**To be eligible for this upgrade you need to be on current EFT membership and at least Retail Pro v8.6. The time required to upgrade the software is billable and can come from time available on account or the sales team can quote you. Average time for upgrade is 30 minutes.**
